The Leaning Pagoda Of Suzhou

Long before the Leaning Tower of Pisa even thought about leaning, this pagoda at Tiger Hill in Suzhou had been built and started to lean. Apparently it has stabilized so no engineering work needs to be done on it. Now the Chinese take great pride in their long history. That wasn't so during the Cultural Revolution. They are quick to point out the short length of U.S. and European history. Afterall, they built the leaning pagoda before Columbus even set sail for America. Posted by Picasa
