I have had a colonoscopy done - before I was diagnosed with celiac I regularly collapsed with nonspecific gastrointestinal pain and a peek up my backside innards was always ordered. You are right, the procedure itself is a breeze (note any others having one: INSIST on good drugs, lots of them, it is completely unnecessary to be even marginally awake for the procedure, which can be uncomfortable). The prep is godawful. But then its done and you have peace of mind. <BR/><BR/>Happy 2008 to your healthy bowel. LOL ..... <BR/><BR/>And, since you have a + family history for polyps, you should consider getting screened every 5 years.
